It has been some time since Marvel Studios introduced the character of Daredevil in the original series for Netflix. The show debuted its third and final season in 2018, due to the end of the contract between Netflix and Disney. Since then fans have been wondering what became of the character and if he would ever be seen on screen again.
However, for some time now fans have regained hope as Matt Murdock is rumored to be back on screen earlier than expected. It was previously reported that actor Charlie Cox would reprise the character in the long-awaited Spider-Man: No Way Home. Even days ago it was known that Cox had to cancel a public appearance to carry out new filming for the film.
Now the site We Got This Covered reports that the Daredevil show could come back to life at the hands of Disney+. So far there is no official confirmation from the studio, but rumors have not been denied either, so fans are already crossing their fingers to make it happen.
On the other hand, the Geekosity site indicates that the resurgence of Daredevil could come from the side of the Echo series, one of the next Disney + projects. The series is based on the character of Echo, whose true identity is Maya Lopez, who is related to the world of Daredevil. The Echo character will be played by actress Alaqua Cox, who will make her debut on the Hawkeye show.
In the comics, she is the adopted daughter of Wilson Fisk, best known for Kingpin, Daredevil’s main villain. Also, Maya has a love affair with Matt Murdock. However, it must be said that the Echo series will only debut in 2023, so it continues on the margin of speculation.
It would certainly be interesting if Marvel Studios and Disney contemplate the possibility of including the character in any of the projects. The character was well-received by fans on his Netflix debut. Although the last season of fiction was canceled, all of them were effective in making known the origins of the character and his ties with other heroes of the Marvel universe.
