Allegations against “Fate: The Winx Saga”
Even before the start, “Fate: The Winx Saga” had to face a shit storm. Because when Netflix presented the first trailer for the series, YouTube users complained that the series appeared very dark in contrast to the brightly colored cartoon series. There were also negative comments about the costumes and especially about the cast of the characters Musa and Terra. The series creators are accused of whitewashing. The Asian Musa in the original series is played by a white actress in “Fate: The Winx Saga”. And the figure of Terra seemed to replace the fairy of Latin American descent named Flora. However, according to showrunner Brian Young, Terra is Flora’s cousin. So there is still hope that Flora will appear in season 2 and also be embodied by a Latina.
