the discussion about the possibility of machines replacing the work of people it has been something that has accompanied humanity since they began to develop. This seemed like it would only happen with the most mechanical and physical jobs and that the creativity of individuals would never have its technological variant, but tools like DALL-E, Stable Diffusion or Midjourney have shown that it could also happen. But Artificial Intelligence can go beyond creating images based on what we ask for and Amazon wanted to demonstrate it with Create with Alexa. A feature of the brand’s voice assistant available on Echo Show devices creates animated stories that the little ones in the house can help create.
To use it, users just need to say ‘Alexa, create a story’ and follow the instructions given below. The visual narratives developed by the AI are five to ten lines long and feature animations, sound effects, and music. This AI can easily entertain the boys and girls in a household. Of course, they have to like stories related to space exploration, underwater or enchanted forestsbecause they are the only themes available at the moment.
The little ones can save their stories and create new ones whenever they want. Amazon Once they have selected one of these three themes, the little ones must choose between two possible protagonists:An astronaut named Speedy. An alien named Fuzzy.
Alexa also gives you a choice of the story’s color gamut and a tonal description, such as ‘silly’, ‘happy’ or ‘mysterious’. That the options are so closed invites us to think that behind these stories there have been humans who have thought of limited visual narratives, but Amazon assures that the stories created by the AI are always different, even if the process is repeated with the same prompts. Amazon explains that its AI has been trained only with content suitable for children to ensure that you do not play stories that could be considered violent or sexual. “We have multiple security measures, such as content filtering and selected ads, to ensure that this experience is pleasant and safe,” says Eshan Bhatnagar, Alexa AI product manager.
