At the beginning of this year, Samsung – together with Sony – introduced the first QD-OLED televisions. These models are equipped with an OLED panel equipped with a quantum dot filter, which should, among other things, ensure higher brightness and more accurate color reproduction. The first QD-OLED televisions came in 55-inch and 65-inch formats, so enthusiasts of larger formats had to be patient. There is a good chance that we will encounter the first larger formats in stores next year. According to reports from the generally reliable ETNews, Samsung will launch the first 77-inch QD OLED television in 2023. The format is not the only ‘improvement’. Samsung would also have improved the black levels, a point that was not always positively assessed with the current S95B series. The new QD-OLED televisions for 2023 would also be equipped with 4K resolution, HDR support, the Tizen TV platform, HDMI 2.1 and all other known Samsung features. We expect more details from the South Korean manufacturer at CES 2023 in Las Vegas.
