Demon Slayer Spin-Off Has A Release Date

Demon Slayer started out quite humbly in February 2016 with no idea how big it would get. Since their debut, his manga and anime have become record hits both in Japan and around the world.

When the story ended in May 2020, fans weren’t sure what to do, but it seems like more manga is on the horizon for them. After all, a new report has been released and it has to do with Kimetsu no Yaiba.

A fan page known as WSJ_manga has a strong history when it comes to getting new series, and the page told fans today that a spin-off manga is in the works for the Kimetsu no Yaiba franchise.

Will Kimetsu no Yaiba get a new spin-off manga?

According to the report, the hit series is working on a spin-off titled Kimetsu Gakuen. The manga will be published in Saikyo Jump starting in August, but it will not be handled by creator Koyoharu Gotouge.

The report says that Natsuki Hogame will handle the spin-off with the creator’s approval. At this point, no official word has been given on this report, but fans are hoping it is true.

After all, more than a year has passed without new chapters of Kimetsu no Yaiba, and this spin-off manga could satisfy fans’ appetites. We remind you that you can read the original manga in Shueisha’s MANGA Plus application.

Given the information found in this report, fans of Tanjiro and Nezuki should expect this spin-off to be less serious than its counterpart. Saikyo Jump is a landmark for gag manga, and many successful series have explored spin-offs that put their heroes in school.

From Attack on Titan to Naruto and more, the phenomenon is well documented and the manga has little continuity with its progenitors. But given how the final chapter of Kimetsu no Yaiba unfolded, this spinoff could be more substantial than readers expect.
