The ” WandaVision ” superhero series ended on March 5, 2022. Of course, there was one of the other scenes after the end credits, typical of Marvel, which of course let the end of “WandaVision” end in such a way that fans are now puzzling whether and how it will continue! Elizabeth Olsen also commented on the future of season 2. But is Marvel planning a second season of the Disney + series?
Elizabeth Olsen on “WandaVision” Season 2
In an interview with actress Kaley Cuoco (” Big Bang Theory “), Elizabeth Olsen told Variety magazine that she could not imagine that “WandaVision” would get a second season. Cuoco’s latest project, ” The Flight Attendant ” continues with Season 2, when the American actress asked her colleague about the future of the Marvel series.
For Olsen, “WandaVision” is definitely over. She knows that Vision (Paul Bettany) was killed by Thanos in “Avengers: Infinity War” and was able to make her peace with this fact in “WandaVision”. Especially since the title of the series references the season’s sitcom and TV show themes.
A repetition or continuation with the same setting would make little sense. Olsen notes that it is “definitely a miniseries”. But she adds: “I mean, that’s how I feel. I’m insecure. I mean, at Marvel you can never be sure: people die, people …”.
Olsen does not explain the second part in the interview, but fans certainly know what could be meant. Elizabeth Olsen will return in her role as Scarlet Witch in the upcoming film “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and as the title suggests, it is of course possible that Vision is still alive in another dimension.
WandaVision: The Journey to “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”
It is already known that the plot of “WandaVision” and Elizabeth Olsen will play a role as Wanda in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” ( launch date: March 24, 2022 ). So there will be a direct continuation of the first season in the upcoming “Doctor Strange” film.
A second season afterwards would be possible, but also unlikely. The title “WandaVision” alludes ambiguously to Wanda’s television reality, which is unlikely to continue to exist in a second season.
