Fantastic Beasts 3 has had several alterations, the most notable of which is the addition of a new Grindelwald actor. Mads Mikkelsen is taking over as the primary villain in the Harry Potter spin-off series from Johnny Depp if you haven’t heard. In addition, they also had to push back the release date, along with the shooting schedule. But it’s not all doom and gloom!
Things are going back on track, with the unnamed Fantastic Beasts threequel attempting to recreate the original’s charm. Thankfully, Warner Bros. moved swiftly to cast a new Grindelwald in Mads Mikkelsen, adding another property to his already remarkable resume. And, fingers crossed, everything else has gone according to plan.
The Fantastic Beasts 3: Release Date
The Fantastic Beasts 3 release date is on the schedule for July 15, 2022, which means that it will be more than three years after the release of The Crimes of Grindelwald. That’s more than the two years between the previous two Fantastic Beasts films, although it wasn’t entirely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
That news came after Deadline reported that they had to push back the production from its planned start date of July 2019. “The movie is going to be gigantic!” said Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski) in an interview. They provided us an explanation for the delay as the film is larger than the previous two combined. They needed more time to prepare and didn’t want to hurry things, so they postponed it.”
What Can We Expect From The Film?
Although there is little knowledge regarding the film’s storyline, we know that the earlier films disclosed the basic plot. Gellert Grindelwald may confront Albus Dumbledore, which might lead to a World War 2 conflict. Credence’s tale will unfold when he learns that he is Aurelius Dumbledore, Albus’ long-lost twin brother.
Newt’s tale is also intriguing, as he and Tina must work together to defeat evil and rescue the magical world from approaching catastrophe. The stories of each individual will be fascinating, mainly because this is the third installment of a five-part series. It will be a comprehensive account of what happened before Hogwarts.
