Based on the light novel series of the same name by Ichiei Ishibumi and Miyama-Zero, the anime series “High School DxD” has enjoyed great popularity since its premiere in 2012. Not only do the supernatural adventures and the battles between angels and demons provide fascination, but the humorous implementation is also very well received by the audience.
The anime series now has four seasons. While seasons 1 to 3 were produced by the studio TNK, Studio Passione took over the production of the fourth season, which was released in 2018. After a three-year hiatus, fans are starting to wonder: Will there even be a fifth season of “High School DxD”?

When is “High School DxD” season 5 coming?
Originally, fans expected a release as early as 2020. However, the start was delayed due to the corona pandemic. But we can probably finally expect the long-awaited sequel in autumn 2022 – at least in Japan.
It has not yet been determined whether and when season 5 will finally come to or be shown in. At least a release in the original sound with subtitles shouldn’t take too long after the Japanese release.
Where is the “High School DxD” Season 5 show?
All previous seasons of “High School DxD” are available as an online stream on Crunchyroll – provided you are at least 18 years old and can verify that.
If you prefer to call the Issei story your own on DVD or Blu-ray, you can order seasons 1 to 4 on Amazon. But the same applies here: only sold from 16 years of age.
According to the current status, we can assume that we will also be able to welcome the fifth season of the series on Crunchyroll as soon as it has been released – but then first in the original sound with subtitles. The synchronization follows either a little later on Crunchyroll or as usual on DVD and Blu-ray.
