The series based on the Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez comic book series is also guaranteed a third season.
Double the happiness for Locke & Key fans on Netflix’s ‘Geeked Week’. On a second day starring several of the comic book adaptations that are part of the platform’s catalog – see The Sandman, The Umbrella Academy and the recent Sweet Tooth – the fiction based on the homonymous work by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez could not be missing. After several unsuccessful attempts to adapt the acclaimed comic series, Netflix finally managed to carry out the ambitious project in the early years of 2020, and now, just over a year later, we have already been able to see the first images of a season 2 that has an important task at hand.
To the first images of season 2 of Locke & Key that you can see in the gallery that heads this news, the virtual fan event that Netflix celebrates this week has been the setting chosen for the confirmation of the release date of the new installment. We do not know the exact date, but we do know the month, so take note: October 2022 will come stomping. Those in charge of announcing the date have been the protagonists of the series through a fun video that you can see below:

In the images, we can see most of the protagonists of the television adaptation of Hill and Rodriguez’s work. Darby Stanchfield as Nina, Connor Jessup as Tyler, Emilia Jones as Kinsey, Jackson Robert Scott as Bode, Petrice Jones as Scot, Layla De Oliveira as Echo / Dodge, and Griffin Gluck as Gabe return to star in the second season, in which, we will be able to see more about Duncan (Aaron Ashmore) and Eden (Halle Jones) who have been promoted to regulars in the new episodes.
We can also expect new additions, with Brendan Hines as Josh Bennett, a charismatic history professor who has just arrived at the Matheson Institute but hides secrets. We bet it related to the house of keys and what happened in the past with Locke’s father.
To the second installment that will be released in October 2022, Netflix confirmed a third season of Locke & Key a few months ago, so that the adaptation of the comics has a long life ahead of it.
