During CES 2023, the American company Displace says it will present the world’s first truly wireless television. Truly wireless also means no power cable, and that is made possible thanks to the use of rechargeable batteries. These batteries – or rather a battery – should last for a month based on six viewing hours per day.The 55-inch television is equipped with a 4K OLED panel and comes without any wires or connection options. All communication with the television is therefore completely wireless. However, a wired accessory is required. The TV communicates with a wireless base station that needs to be connected to the socket. This station features an AMD CPU, an Nvidia GPU and support for Wi-Fi 6E. Another unique feature is that, according to the company, you can combine multiple TVs into one even larger screen. It is not yet known what software we can expect, but Displace does promise a real revolution in terms of operation and interface. So there is still a lot unclear, including the price. More information will follow from January 3, during CES 2023.
